Brian Eno/Jah Wobble - Spinner (1995)

Some of you may know Brian Eno from is own ambient releases, work with Harold Budd, or his work as a producer (he has produced records by U2 and Coldplays most recent album Viva la Vida).  Eno collaborates with the original bassist of Public Image Ltd. Jah Wobble.  This album started as a soundtrack to the film Glitterburg.  Later, Eno gave Jah Wobble the soundtracks master tapes where Wobble was given complete control over what to add/remove to the songs.  This album is the result of Wobbles changes.

Audi0scribbler - For My Imaginary Friends

I don't much about audi0scribbler except that there is a zero in his name and he makes some pretty good IDM/Electronica.  The bad thing are his songs are really short.

Angelo Badalamenti - Twin Peaks Soundtrack (1990)

Best known for his hauntingly atmospheric work with filmmaker David Lynch, composer Angelo Badalamenti was born in Brooklyn, New York in 1938; a classically-trained performer, he spent the early years of his career playing the Catskills resort area, later writing and arranging for singers including Shirley Bassey and country star Mel Tillis. Under the name Andy Badale, he entered the film industry in 1973, debuting with the score to the action film Gordon’s War.
Twin Peaks was a television serial drama created by David Lynch and Mark Frost. The series follows the investigation, headed by Special Agent Dale Cooper (Kyle MacLachlan), of the brutal murder of a popular and respected teenager and homecoming queen, Laura Palmer (Sheryl Lee).Twin Peaks's pilot episode was first broadcast on April 8, 1990 on the ABC Network, which led to another seven episodes being produced, and a second season, which aired until June 10, 1991. The show was set in a small fictional Washington town of the same name, and exteriors were primarily filmed in Snoqualmie and North Bend; most of the interior scenes were shot on standing sets in a San Fernando Valley (near Hollywood) warehouse.
It has a really awesome soundtrack which can be downloaded here:

De Facto - Megaton Shotblast (and others)

De Facto were a / side project of Cedric Bixler Zavala, and Omar Rodriguez-Lopez of The Mars Volta, keyboardist Isaiah Ikey Owens, and soundman Jeremy Michael Ward.

The original band consisted of Omar, Cedric, and Jeremy playing local shows around their home town, El Paso,
Texas. Cedric says, “Yeah actually we used to be called the Sphinktators, that was early De Facto, just more .” Omar was actually the singer of the Sphinktators and remembers, “We used  sounds, Cedric played the bass, Jeremy played guitar, and Ralph [Jasso] played drums.” After their first recording they brainstormed the name ‘De Facto Cadre’ Dub’, which was later shortened to De Facto. That recording became How Do You Dub? You Fight For Dub, You Plug Dub In, which they released on Headquarter Records, now known as Restart Records. Omar met Ikey at a  show and they exchanged numbers and then Ikey met up with them during one of their shows and joined De Facto as their keyboard player midshow.

Megaton Shotblast! was released on the Gold Standard Laboratories label, and received instant success, probably in part due to the popularity of At The Drive-In. The group’s general style was , but they also dabbled in Latin/, and . These new ideas led to what would become their next band (The Mars Volta).

Zombi - Surface to Air (2006)

Hey yous, Zombi is a "math rock" band which means they make instrumental music with COOL time signatures and WEIRD instruments like SYNTHESIZERS and GUITARS and DRUM MACHINES. It reminds me of EIGHTIES rock bands without the AWESOME hair and one piece SPANDEX body suits.  They also have AWESOME song names like CHALLENGER and LEGACY and DIGITALIS.  Their songs have a jazzy-ish bass sound which reminds me a bit of DeFACTO. If your into the kind of stuff mentioned above i suggest you downloads it if you don't understand what i just said you should download it to UNDERSTAND what i just said.

Some Erik Satie for those "who care"

Hey guys and bych-ess,

A long time ago there lived a man named Erik Satie. He made some nice, pretty, nice piano pieces and most likely did other things. For background please see Wikipedia. Anyways, he wrote some pieces for a rich patron, who was known for being a rich heiress as well as a lesbian. These pieces were based on some texts which are related to a "Greek guy". It's music with words!!! which, for anyone who knows anything about music, is pretty fucking "out-there" and "experimental". I don't think people mix music and words anymore. There are also some other songs he composed.

Bardi Johannsson - Haxan

Bardi Johannsson (born October 10, 1975) is an Icelandic musician, producer, director and singer. He started playing music at a young age (the piano and guitar specifically) and as a child had a track on a V.A. album. Bardi’s most popular project Bang Gang started as a duo with him and his friend Henrik Baldvin Bjornsson (now in Singapore Sling). They did a self released 7” vinyl called Listen Baby. After that release and a couple of concerts they decided to take a long break. In the mean time, Bardi took interest in electronic music and together with singer Esther Talia Casey (a friend from his teens) resumed work again under the name Bang Gang (because they couldn’t come up with another band name). Bardi is currently signed with EMI and came in second at the national selection for Iceland in the Eurovision Song Contest 2008, with the Song Ho, Ho, Ho, We Say Hey, Hey, Hey performed by Merzedes Club. Bardi Johannsson has so far released 3 studio albums - You (1998 Bang Gang), Something Wrong (2003 Bang Gang), Lady & Bird (2003 Lady & Bird with Keren Ann), Strakarnir Okkar (2005 Minusbardi) and a few singles. Haxan - a soundtrack opus to the movie Witchcraft Through the Ages (1922) by Benjamin Christensen - is the first album Bardi released under his own name in 2006. All the songs on this record are written and produced by Bardi and performed by him and the Bulgarian Chamber Orchestra.

Lansing-Dreiden - The Incomplete Triangle

Lansing-Dreiden is a riddle wrapped in an enigma trapped inside a puzzle box, and that’s just how the mysterious “company” likes it. What is known about this band, which conducts interviews only through email and rarely performs live, is that its members are transplanted Miami natives living in New York City, that its range of activities goes far beyond the musical sphere to encompass video, art and design, and that it harbors a certain fondness for obtuse philosophical tracts by way of self-definition. For example: “Lansing-Dreiden is a company that sees no distinction between art and commerce — or anything else. Hence, the output of the organization may manifest itself in various forms, from video to music to product design to the construction of narratives. All Lansing-Dreiden projects are fragmentary, mere stones in a path whose end lies in a space where the very definition of ‘path’ paths.”

The Incomplete Triangle is the debut album by Lansing-Dreiden. It is a mix of various genres, divided into three parts of 4 songs each (hence the name of the LP).
